Diarist A10 Day06

EDLM 11/14/17 (Tuesday)

It’s almost 2 in the morning, and I’m awake. My first class at 12:30 is cancelled (some project due that teacher is giving us the day to finish up), so I feel justified being up. Not doing a lot. Watching tv. Walking Dead. Went to the store earlier (a little after midnight). Probably gonna keep sitting here, maybe another hour or so, until I finally decide to take a shower and go to sleep.

Went to bed a little before 4 AM. It’s 2:30 PM now. Appointment at the dentist at 2:50, but I just live across the street, so I don’t need to rush. Getting up now to wash my face and brush my teeth. Will probably eat something after my appointment.

At the dentist. Just got my teeth cleaned. It always feels so great. I don’t see why people are so afraid of the dentist; I love them!
Just got a text. A couple friends and I were supposed to go to a winery in Middletown last Wednesday, then it got postponed to tomorrow Wednesday. And now I guess we’re cancelling altogether. Figures. But on the plus side, my teeth are in great health, according to the dentist. Now I’m home, and I’m gonna head out to the bus now to grab some food and get to class.

Stopped by Chick-Fil-A in the Atrium to grab some food. Forgot to type up one the assignments I hand-wrote for class, so I had to hustle to do that real quick. The class before mine was still in session, and I started to walk in without thinking before stepping away and apologizing. The professor was super nice, though; she told me that I could come on in, and I sat with the class for the last five minutes. She said something to the effect of, “I feel like you’re a student cousin,” implying that students in other classes are like relatives, especially since her husband is my professor for the next class.

In class, Intro to Rhetoric. Was an interesting discussion about audience and its role in writing. Now I’m at a friend’s house, watching Howl’s Moving Castle. She’s making what she calls mayo chicken. It sounds pretty good, so I look forward to having it. Her daughter came out of bed earlier to show me this oatmeal with “dinosaur eggs” that melt to reveal little dinosaurs, and to say hello to me. She’s a super sweet and well-behaved kid; I really like her.

Well the mayo chicken was pretty good. I had it with rice and some delicious salad. My friend is wrapping up the rest of the food so I can take it home with me. We paused the movie so we could eat, so now we’re continuing that.

So the original movie fell through, so we started watching Spirited Away. That was a pretty swell movie. I’ve left my friend’s house, and now I’m at Bracken and will be here until after midnight continuing to work on a project that’s due in a few days. So I guess I’ll end this entry here.
