Diarist A31 Day11

Diary Day 5-15-19

  • Got up at 4:23 am and called my mom to see if she was going to 5 am prayer at church. After the phone call I got dressed and headed out. I got at church at 4:55 am, I waited until pastor L. came. I started off our corporate prayer this morning. I left at 5:45 am and headed to the bank then the 29th St Shell station. I bought gas and not sure if I drove off without hanging the pump back up. I feel really awful. Back at the house I wake my granddaughter. She has school and I have to work.
  • Today was great throughout and the kids at the daycare center made bumblebees, worked on color recognition, and writing their names. We had great weather and enjoyed outside play. At 4:45 R. the director comes out to the playground and asks to see me before I leave. I say no problem and return to playing with the children.
  • At 5pm on my way to clock out I go into the office and S. and R. were sitting at the desk and they said come in. S. went to retrieve a chair and said have a seat. My response was I sat and “thanks.” R. looks at S. then to me and says “well we did not pass the audit because some of the words you used.” My face asked the question for me. “You called the kids crybabies.” I responded, “No, I asked one of the children how can he call someone a crybaby when 20 min ago he was doing the same thing? I wish you had the facts first.” R. says “Well anyway this is not working.”
  • I asked is this my pink slip they said yes I said okay. Then R. said “Maybe you’re better with older kids.”
  • The other day when the child got lost and you didn’t know I stopped her. I knew where she was to be. Another staff took her without informing the kitchen staff or our room staff. That is a problem in itself. I wish you would get the facts before you call someone in the office. S. chimes well at nap time you were cutting at the table and not patting the kids’ backs. I explained we don’t pat backs until 7 to 10 min to give the children time to lay still and transition. S. said they’re three. I said I know and most will be asleep within that time. I have had my own daycare for seven years and they are all in college now. I have expectations. She says again they’re three.
  • I state they should be ashamed of how they have treated the orange room. This would make the fourth teacher to leave without saying goodbye since October of 2018. Good luck my little ones, and please pray for the administration of the daycare center.

Ate dinner with my grandchild, went grocery shopping and was out like a light by 10:30 pm.
