Digital Feed – Introduction to the DSL

On Wednesday, September 13, 2017, the Digital Scholarship Lab (DSL) hosted its first Digital Feed of the 2017–2018 academic year. During the session, the DSL Co-Director Dr. James J. Connolly, restated the mission of the Lab and outlined the resources that the DSL is ready to share with Ball State University faculty interested in pursuing digital scholarship. He also introduced the DSL leadership team and graduate assistants to the audience including new BSU Libraries staff member Perry Collins who will also be joining the DSL as Scholarly Communications Director. Next, the 2017-18 DSL Fellows took to the podium sharing snippets of their DSL-sponsored work. They also shared how instrumental and helpful the DSL has been in ensuring that their projects receive the required support. They encouraged faculty members who have projects they would like to embark on, to consider consulting with DSL during the fall semester. DSL Faculty Fellowship applications are due in February of each year to begin in the summer or fall of the next academic year.
