Digital Feed: Virtual Reality in Art History

On Thursday, April 18, 2019 in AB 021B, the DSL and IDIA hosted a Digital Feed talk by Matthew Brennan about the uses of Virtual Reality in Art History. VR offers unique and interesting implications for education in the fields of Art and Architectural History. Brennan, a member of the Research Faculty in the School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University, described the implementation of four virtual reality applications alongside traditional art history lectures in the class “15th Century Italian Art” taught at Indiana University. He discussed the concept, design, and lessons learned from the implementation of the four stand-alone VR applications.
