I was awoken by my husband around 6 a.m. since I was a awake, it made sense to make a trip to the bathroom. I knew I needed to go back to sleep somehow. I had surgery on my wrist @ CIO yesterday so I had been careful how I was sleeping so as not to hurt it. I finally went back to sleep but had to nudge my husband so he would turn over to reduce the snoring. I had weird dreams. Our dog was barking around 8 so I snoozed for a while & finally got out of bed around 8:35. Luckily my wrist still didn’t hurt which is the first time I have had a surgery & that was the case. I did go ahead & put ice on it for 20 minutes.
I let the dog out & said hello to the cats. My husband started his coffee & we settled into our sunroom to wake up. Unfortunately no sun AGAIN today. This has been a very dreary winter so far.
My husband and I discussed what gifts we still need to purchase for Christmas. We ordered an item from Amazon for my husband’s son. We still need to figure out what we are going to do for his daughter & her fiancé. Neither one of us are thrilled with the idea of shopping with thousands of our best friends in the stores of Muncie. Bath & Body works is having some good deals today though.
I took care of paying bills & other things around the house & my husband took the dog to go to the bank. Our dog hasn’t gotten out much lately because my husband & I have had wrist issues. My husband is recovering from his own wrist surgery last week. We are a mess…
Ate lunch while addressing Birthday & Christmas cards for niece & nephew (b.day 12/26).
Took a shower with a plastic zip lock bag over my bandage, which was interesting. I will be glad when I can take the bulky bandage off.
While my husband was getting ready to take his shower I addressed all the Christmas cards for people at work. I will pass them out when I return to work next week.
I helped my husband get dressed into his Santa suit since his right hand still has stitches in it. He went to work to be driven around for a couple of hours to deliver candy to kids. While he was gone I lay on the couch with the dog & watched a recorded Hallmark Christmas movie. None of the cats came out. I got hungry so I made a snack of cheese & a hard boiled egg. I was enjoying a relaxing afternoon!
My husband got home around 5:30 ish, changed his clothes so we could go out to the mall. We went to bath & body works & bought the three wick candles on sale. The mall was very busy which was good to see. I’m not a fan of crowds but I like to see brick & mortar businesses doing plenty of business. We saw a couple of people we know @ the entrance ringing the bell for donations.
When we were ready to leave it was raining pretty hard (I would have preferred snow).
We drove to Applebee’s for dinner, which was very busy. We sat in the bar & ordered beer (oh yeah, I forgot to mention my husband dropped me off @ the door so I wouldn’t get wet- he is so good about that). We had great service & food & even splurged & split a dessert.
We went home & watched Polar Express & when that was over Walking Tall. We went to bed around midnight. Another awesome day 🙂
