Our Eclipse Experience.
The day started out by us cutting the grass which was overdue because of several days of rain. After cutting the grass we put out the Prevent Child Abuse signs and pinwheels around Motivate Our Minds, the Community Garden, Longfellow School and our own residence. We had planned to meet at Union Chapel Church, but after passing the MPL Connection Corner and seeing people playing games all over the yard, we decided to join the crowd there.
Starting at 2:00 p.m. we saw the beginning until the complete eclipse 3:05 p.m.. We introduced ourselves to several people and learned that they had come from Warsaw, IN and Louisville, KY. We also became acquainted with several families from Muncie that we didn’t know. Sharing snacks talking and taking pictures became a magical experience that will be remembered forever.
