Diarist J80 Day 17

Middletown diary entry

It is 6:20am, I’m getting up for my morning coffee. Waking my kids up for school and taking the dogs outside. Kids are safely off to school and I have to get myself together to head off to “work”. On my route, I notice it’s sooo cold out today. 50s. Which I guess is normal for an October fall day. But I’m just not ready for this chill. I talk to my best friend during my commute and we discuss our plans for the day and upcoming weekend. I arrive to IHOP and order breakfast. I get out my computer and beginning working on paperwork that I needed to complete. It is nice to be a regular here at IHOP, and all the employees come by to say hello. It is now 1:30pm, I am sitting in my car making phone calls to clients. My colleague then calls and is in distraught because someone stole her iPad out of her car at Muncie Mall while she was eating at MCL. I encouraged her to make a police report. After getting off the phone, I drove to see a client in Albany. My client wanted to eat at Puerta Vallarta. We both put on our masks and walked into the restaurant and ate a delicious Mexican feast. After leaving the restaurant, we went to visit the Muncie Children’s Museum. My client loves to sit in the big semi truck and also play in the pretend grocery store. He loves to interact with other children his age while at the museum. I had a discussion with my client about the upcoming Halloween holiday. He was so upset that it’s supposed to thunderstorm that night. So we will see if the weather pans out for a nice night of trick or treating. After I dropped my client off at home, I was driving home and saw a sign posted for the Ball State Homecoming parade scheduled for this weekend. I’m sooo excited because I love parades!!! This will be a sight to see!! I then stopped by Aldi and bought some fresh flowers. I can’t believe their flowers are so cheap!! ?I also picked up some steak for dinner. I love Aldi!! It costs a quarter to rent a cart, and bags are sold for 10 cents. It’s the only place you will ever see cashiers sitting down while ringing you items. I love it!! It’s still cold and raining!! It’s 8pm and time for me to rest and relax with my family. We made break and bake Halloween cookies (that I of course Bought from Aldi)!! Whooo resting on the couch watching the original Beetle Juice!!?
