Diary Day 4/4/22
At 1:30 am, I arrived at Indianapolis Airport from a two-week trip to Morocco. Collected my luggage and went to the parking garage where I found my car battery had died. Called airport vehicle service to jump my battery. My Ford is a hybrid and the manual key was hard to get in the lock on the handle. Serviceman called his supervisor for help. Finally got the key to work and opened the door to open the hood. The jump took only a couple of minutes. I was on my way at 2:15 and arrived home at 3:30. In bed at 4 am. Cats H and G greeted me at the garage door. They were glad to see me.
Up at 9:30 since N, my cleaning lady, would come at 10:30. Gave N a souvenir from Morocco trip.
My Apple Card had been compromised while I was on the trip so I had changed the card number. I didn’t trust the insecure networks available during the trip so didn’t contact autopay vendors about the new number until today. That took over an hour and two haven’t called me back.
Unpacked.
Worked on campaign. Preparing lists for walking, calling, and mailings. Didn’t work right so will get help tomorrow. Worked on the text of my card to hand out while canvassing.
Picked up a prescription, got groceries and dropped off a sweater at the dry cleaners. Got a Starbucks latte.
Walked around the yard to see if anything was damaged by last week’s cold snap. Everything seems to be ok. Some tulips, daffodils and wild flowers are blooming. Didn’t see Finny, my goldfish. Maybe tomorrow when the pond guy comes to open the pond.
Had dinner at Mancino’s with friend V who took care of the cats and house while I was in Morocco.
Showed V my purchases and gave her an Argan oil gift and a couple of small souvenirs. V, who is my campaign manager, helped me finish canvassing card. Sent it to my volunteer graphics designer to finish it up.
Did my exercise routine. Went to bed.
